Art Fair Season is Winding Down

It's so hard to believe that Labor Day has come and gone, and Fall is just around the corner.  Charlevoix Waterfront and Downtown Traverse City art fairs were phenomenal!

I just finished up my last art fair for the year in Elk Rapids this past weekend.  I will definitely be back there again next year for both the Memorial weekend and Labor Day weekend shows!

I'll be down state in Niles, MI at the Fernwood Botanical Garden Nov 3 & 4.

And my final show of the year will be at a really cool place called Townline Ciderworks on Nov 25.  Townline Ciderworks is a new Cider house on US 31 near Elk Rapids.  The event is from 1-8pm.  There will be music, food, Christmas tree sales, cookie decorating, and of course a variety of handcrafted items from local artisans.  What a great way to kick off the holiday season!  Check out Townline Ciderworks Facebook Page for more information as the event draws near.

I still have jewelry (including my beach glass jewelry) at the Twisted Fish Gallery in Elk Rapids.  So if you can't make it to one of my last 2 art fairs, stop by Twisted Fish.  They have exceptional artwork in a variety of mediums from many local and regional Michigan artists.

A little rain never hurt anyone...

My sincere thanks to everyone who endured the rain and cool temps to attend the Old Town Art Fair in Traverse City today.  Despite the weather it was a pretty good turnout and I was very happy with how the day ended up.  Thankfully, it stopped raining in plenty of time for my tent to dry out before I had to pack it away in the car!!  It was so nice to see returning customers from last year's show as well as those who just saw me at Elk Rapids a month ago.  I appreciate your business and enjoyed talking to all of you.  THANK YOU!!

My next show is Petoskey Art in the Park on 7/15, followed by the Glen Lake Women's Club Art Fair on 7/19.  I hope to see you there!

Viking Knit Bracelet Class

Are you interested in learning how to make a Viking Knit bracelet?

Viking Knit is a centuries old wire weaving technique used in a variety of jewelry projects.  I'll be partnering with Twisted Fish Gallery in Elk Rapids to teach a Viking Knit class sometime during the 'Experience Art Rapids' event June 10 - 24.  Class size will be limited to 6 students, so contact the gallery asap for more information:

Here are samples of the type of bracelet you will make during this class:

Elk Rapids

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth at the Elk Rapids Art Fair on May 27!!!
The weather was gorgeous and it was a great day to be out shopping and enjoying the beach.  This was my first time attending this art fair and I plan to be back again next year!

My next show will be the Old Town Arts Fair in Traverse City on June 25th.

I'll be hitting the torch in the next few days to make some new designs for this show.
I hope to see you there!
